November 17, 2024 - There will be a church board meeting, after this morning's service.
November 24, 2024 - Thanksgiving dinner at the church.
We will celebrate Thanksgiving with a dinner here at church next Sunday. There is a sign-up sheet for items to bring. Dinner will follow the service. The church is providing chicken.
Christmas Family Project - We are adopting a family that lost everything during hurricane Helene. Please pick a star, located in the social hall. Our goal is to have at least a toy, pair of shoes and some clothing for each child. Gifts need to be at the church by December 15. DO NOT WRAP THE GIFTS. Thank you for helping with this project.
Ladies meet every second Tuesday at 7pm for fellowship, food and devotional. Bring your favorite dish and a guest!
There is a suggestion box located at the front door. Please feel free to make suggestions on making our church better for you.
We have replaced the doors and windows!!! Little by little we are restoring our church.
If you are interested in joining Genesis Church or finding out more about our church, please contact Pastor Mark or Lisa. If enough people are interested then a date and time for a class will be scheduled. You are not obligated to join the church after taking the class.

We will be following guidelines to keep things safe and healthy. We will be following social distancing. Those individuals, who wish to wear masks, are encouraged to do so. Bottles of hand sanitizer are located in the church and you are encouraged to use them.
If you don't feel comfortable coming to church, services will also continue on Facebook for our live worship services. The service will be posted under Reverand Mark Vaughn's Facebook profile. We are also posting our service videos on the Genesis Church channel on YouTube.
We will still be accepting tithes and offerings by mail. Tithes and offerings can be mailed to Genesis Church, P.O. Box 130, Honea Path, SC 29654 or you can donate using via our church PayPal account by clicking on the button below.
Genesis Church is not made of bricks and mortar, but our people! We will come through this challenge with God leading us and we will be giving him the glory!
Let’s put our church on the map. Google that is. Go to Google and write a review on our church. It is easy and it won’t take but a few minutes. We need a bigger cyber footprint. We want everyone to know that Genesis Church is the best place to worship. So start Googling.
Project Bear Hug: This is an ongoing project to support the Ware Shoals and Honea Path Police Departments with bears to give to children in crisis. If you have bears to contribute, please contact Suzanne Colbert-McWhirter at 864-934-3866 or Mac McWhirter at 864-934-3863 to arrange a pick-up day and time.
Note that the church finances are open to those in the congregation. If you have a desire to see the income and expenses for the church, you can make an appointment with our church treasurer (Suzanne Colbert-McWhirter) to get your questions answered. Note also, that all church board members receive copies of the monthly ledgers at their board meetings and may be able to answer your questions, as well.
